Vicar’s Message

A Message from Reverend Christopher E. Griffin

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.  For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into the one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.  (I Corinthians 12:12 – 13; NRSV)

“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”  (Matthew 25:40 NRSV  )

Greetings!

On behalf of the wonderful faith community called St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, WELCOME!  Thank you for visiting our website.  We pray the information presented here moves you to discover more about us and lead you to visit, in person, and join us for Sunday morning worship.

St. Martin’s is an inclusive community of Christians who strongly believe that we are all — especially the “least of these” — members of God’s family, united by the Spirit of God.  Our mission statement “Linking Spirituality and Social Transformation” captures our commitment to faith and justice inherent in the Gospel, which calls us to honor, serve, and include those on the edges of society.

Although “diverse” tends to be over-used, St. Martin’s is truly a richly diverse community of amazing individuals, couples, families, and friends from many walks of life, travelling far and near to pray, feast, and be together.  Whoever you are, wherever you’ve been, you are more than welcome to join us!

Rev. Christopher E. Griffin, Vicar
