Friends and Family Sunday

May 22 marks the day for this year’s Friends and Family Service. We are inviting members who haven’t been here in a while to join us for worship on that Sunday. We are inviting anyone who has come to a service and/or event at the church to come on out. We are inviting folks who have wanted to come an check us out to that Sunday as well. Everyone is welcome! Afterward fellowship with us as we share a meal provided by some of the many talented cooks we have in our congregation.

Bishop Jeffery Lee will also join us later that afternoon for the Lift Dedication & Blessing Program.

Blues in the Sanctuary

Our Annual Blues in the Sanctuary concert is planned for Saturday, June 18 at 8pm hear at St. Martin’s. Each year the sanctuary the church  turns the sanctuary into an intimate nightclub with seating for about 120 people who come from all parts of the city to enjoy top notch blues entertainment. This year we are happy to bring back singer, songwriter, and actress, Katherine Davis, who when she isn’t appearing at a local nightclub, fronting a large band, or staring in a concert, is teaching the next generation of blues lovers at a neighborhood school. Her voice is a remarkable instrument! She can go from sweet and sultry to lowdown and dirty blues within the course of an evening. Her performance was such a success last year that we had to bring her back! Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Light bites, fine wines, and beer are available for purchase.

Buy your tickets online or by calling 773 378-8111. Online tickets may be purchased at Ticket River. Proceeds support St. Martin’s ministries,  programs and services for families and youth in the Austin Community. Doors open at 7:30pm.
